As a distribution center for the production and sales of radio transmission equipment nationwide, Quanzhou has a prominent phenomenon of unlicensed production and use of walkie talkies. The Municipal Radio Management Bureau reminded enterprises and citizens during the promotional month that unauthorized production, installation, and use of radio transmission equipment are illegal activities and will be subject to investigation and punishment by the radio management department.
In recent years, while strengthening the daily supervision of radio transmission equipment production enterprises, the Municipal Radio Administration has also increased its efforts to investigate and punish unlicensed production enterprises. From 2018 to the end of June 2020, our city dispatched a total of 3457 law enforcement inspectors, inspected a total of 1849 units and production enterprises that established Taiwan, confiscated more than 1000 illegal equipment, and fined over 200000 yuan. The Municipal Radio Management Bureau, in conjunction with the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau and other units, conducted law enforcement inspections on an illegal production of walkie talkies in Xiadu Village, Rongqiao, Nanan City. Some of its products were found to have not been approved by the radio management department, and were ordered to stop production on the spot. 170 walkie talkies were confiscated, and a fine of 5000 yuan was imposed.
According to regulations, any type of radio transmission equipment produced, imported, sold, or used within China must hold the "Radio Transmission Equipment Model Approval Certificate" issued by the Radio Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Legally produced radio transmission products must have a National Model Approval Code (CMII). This code is also equivalent to the ID card of the device. Devices without a model approval code are illegally produced or sold products, and using this type of walkie talkie will disrupt the order of airborne radio waves.
